👮‍♀️🤝 Joint Kent Police & British Transport Police School Engagement – Tunbridge Wells Grammer School for Boys, Sevenoaks site 👮‍♂️ |
||
|
Kent Police officers from the Child Centred Policing Team, alongside colleagues from British Transport Police (BTP), carried out a joint visit to Tunbridge Wells Grammar School for Boys, Sevenoaks site.
Officers engaged with students during break and lunchtime, focusing on Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG). Conversations provided education, reassurance and advice, giving young people the opportunity to ask questions and discuss concerns in an informal and supportive environment. Key messages included respectful behaviour, healthy relationships and how to seek help for themselves or others.
During the visit, officers also met with the school’s Student White Ribbon Ambassadors. This provided a valuable opportunity to listen to students’ views and begin planning student‑led actions they would like to take within the school community to further promote positive attitudes and challenge harmful behaviours.
The joint visit strengthened partnership working between Kent Police, BTP and the school, and supported ongoing efforts to empower young people to play an active role in tackling VAWG.
If you have concerns about VAWG or would like advice, please speak to a trusted adult or contact police. In an emergency call 999.
